Module I: Historical Aspects of Medical Cannabis

A timeline overview, from the first historical reports of the use of Cannabis for medical purposes, through the process of prohibition of the use of the plant, to the scientific discoveries that unraveled the Endocannabinoid System and this new frontier of Medicine.

Module II: The Cannabis plant

Technical aspects of the plant, different chemovariants, main cultivation methods, so that you can understand in greater depth the medical properties of the main chemical agents of the plant, the phytocannabinoids and the terpenes.

Module III: The Endocannabinoid System

A detailed and uncomplicated overview of the Endocannabinoid System, which is responsible for regulating practically all physiological and pathological processes in the human body. We cover the interactions of cannabinoid substances with the endocannabinoid receptors in the main physiological systems of the human body, as well as the practical outcomes of this knowledge.

Module IV: Cannabis as Medicine

Cannabis as a medicine, the main methods of extraction of this medication, the differences between formulations and routes of administration, pharmacokinetic aspects of cannabis-based medicines, the most common adverse effects of this therapy, aiming for safer and more assertive prescriptions.

Module V: Clinical Applications

Main clinical applications of cannabinoids derivatives, based on scientific evidences and integrated with practical discussion of clinical cases with international experts with extensive prescribing experience.
